Bishop Z is home! As many of you know, he was hospitalized on Christmas Eve, and had to undergo two operations.
We praise God for his healing and total recovery, and we
sincerely thank everyone for their prayers.

Our goal is to bless a family here in Richmond with groceries, every month!
Please bring canned goods and other
non-perisable foods like canned meats, tuna, fruit, vegetables, rice, cereal and other items, to FLAVA.
You can drop off donations on Sundays between 9-11:00 AM, and during Bible Studies and Fellowship meetings.
Bring what you can and remember: God loves a cheerful giver!
"Do not forget those living in your towns ... so they may come, eat and be satisfied, and so The Lord may bless all the work of your hands." (Deuteronomy 14:27-29)

Did You Know... ?
Elder Flo Johnson was featured on the CBN television show, The 700 Club. What a huge blessing! Filming the show was quite an adventure. "Re-enacting" is harder than you might think, even when it's your own experience!

FLAVA Ministry held it's
2011 Baptism Ceremony on
Sunday, June 5, 2011.
It was Beautiful!
Baptism is a holy, blessed tradition; an outward statement that shows repentance of sin and dedication to God. It's a ceremonial cleansing conducted by ordained clergy for persons who fully understand and give their consent.
Key Baptism Scriptures include: Romans 6:3-12 , Matthew 28:18-19, Matthew 3:13-17, and Acts 2:38.
FLAVA family members who were baptized ranged in age from eight to fifty-plus! The ceremony was presided over by FLAVA's Pastor and Founder, Bishop Z. He was assisted by Apostle Andre Ellis and his wife, Pastor Ellis, and Minister Lassiter of the Temple of God International Ministries, along with FLAVA's own Deacon Lewis Russ Jr.

Our special thanks to the Richmond YMCA (Old Brook Road) for allowing us to use their pool facilities. The YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) was founded in 1844 in England, an organization dedicated to promoting Christian principles by developing "a healthy spirit, mind, and body." Today, YMCAs are open to all, regardless of faith, age, social class, or gender.

The Class of 2011 of the
Faith Christian College
has completed the School's
Inaugural Curriculum!
Students completed the School's very first curriculum course of study, earning certificates in Ecclesiastical Services. The new semester and expanded curriculum will be starting in the Fall of 2011.

The IWF (Irresistible Women of FLAVA) Women's Fellowship had a fantastic time at the 2011 Joyce Meyer Convention in Hampton Virginia!
The weather was amazing, the 'Word' was anointed,
and the company ... simply irresistible!

was full of fellowship and fun!
Friday night's Youth Extravaganza offered praise singers, dancers and steppers! Sunday morning, Apostle J. A. McDonald brought an anointed Word for everyone, and Saturday night was a blast with Pastor Z's Celebrity Roast!
